Perimenopause or pre-menopause or as the term is being used today, is for a category of women who have started experiencing some menopausal symptoms. The age some medical professional have categorized is from 30-50. This period in any woman’s life will cause some concern.

These symptoms of perimenopause are always linked to hormonal changes or hormonal imbalance in the body. Many women have cause to be alarmed and concerned so they visit their doctor quite frequently hoping to stop these frustrating recurring symptoms. Some do not want to believe they are experiencing symptoms of perimenopause so they ignore the warning signs. Age gets into the way, so they feel this should not be happening to them so young.
Causes of Hormonal Imbalance
Because these symptoms attributed to hormonal imbalance is true, it causes some sense of confusion and anxiety. This imbalance is caused by certain lifestyle activities. Nutrition is a big factor in hormonal regularity and so many doctors will prescribe hormone therapy, this does not work well with some women. Lack of exercise, rest and relaxation and emotional release will cause hormonal imbalance also and thus bring on the symptoms of perimenopause. All these hormonal changes are normal but are medically never expected to begin until women have hit their 40-50 age range.
Medical therapy of whatever sort that will help you will slow down the tumultuous roller coaster rides the body is going through. Along with all the medical and nutritional therapy that is prescribed, if your lifestyle is not addressed, the situation will only get worst. Addressing the issues will cause body and mind to get back to what is medically called homeostasis.
After the treatment is put in effect, women will find their periods will regularize, they are sleeping much better, have more enjoyable sex, emotionally they are equipped to go through the day. Energy level is also boosted, so exercise is one more item on the list to pursue daily. Some who have experienced irregular periods have seen changes in their monthly cycle, and for those women who are reasonably younger may even become pregnant.
For some women the perimenopausal journey is quite uneventful, and enjoyable. There are some who attribute their experience to familial while some medical experts just diagnose the symptoms to hormonal imbalance.
